UT System Icon
The UT icon is a distinctive mark that has represented the University beginning in 1985, and can be found throughout the UT System and state of Tennessee. The UT icon may be used in certain instances as a stand-alone graphic. When used in this manner, the wordmark should also be present on the same page or within the same collateral. Exceptions may apply. Color options include orange, white and 100% black.
The primary logo is the preferred visual representation of the UT System. It consists of three elements—the UT icon, wordmark and system identifier. The primary logo is available for use and download in three formats. Space, size and background color dictate usage. Please use the primary logo exactly as it is—do not crop, change, redraw, rotate or alter the mark in any way.
Primary logo, aligned center
Minimum recommended height for aligned center version is .75 inches or 72 pixels
Primary logo, aligned left
Minimum recommended height for aligned left version is .3125 inches or 36 pixels.

Every communication or marketing collateral must include a logo. For external audiences, always use a version of the primary logo so that the full name of the institution is included.
A simplified version, referred to as the shortcut logo, is appropriate for internal audiences and in instances where the connection to the University of Tennessee is obvious.
The shortcut logo is available for use and download in two formats and several color variations. Space, size and background color dictate usage. Please use the shortcut logo exactly as it is—do not crop, change, redraw, rotate or alter the mark in any way.
