The UT System is comprised of campuses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pulaski, Martin and Memphis; the UT Institute of Agriculture with a presence in every Tennessee county; and the statewide Institute for Public Service. Please note that campuses and institutes have its own set of social media protocol and guidelines. Additionally, individual departments, schools, or colleges may have their own specific protocol and guidelines.

If you are considering using one or more social media platforms, please contact Kasey Funderburg at kasey@tennessee.edu prior to activating any accounts. UT System Communications and Marketing can help you think through the necessity of having a social media presence, who might be best to manage your accounts, which platforms to use, your communications goals, audience, among other important criteria and strategies.

For individual departments who wish to create their own social media accounts, please review the social media guidance and resource information contained on this site and remember that content posted on behalf of an official entity reflects on the UT System as a whole.
